Measuring the Windows boot time is very important because it can indicate if your system is experiencing problems or if it needs an urgent clean up and maintenance. BootRacer is an application that can help you a lot. This great tool is able to measure the boot speed of your Windows OS, without any complication. One nice feature is that the program is able to measure time to logon and total boot time to Desktop. But, what is logon time? It's the time your computer takes since the start till the Windows logon screen appears (press CTRL+ALT+DEL to login to Windows).
With BootRacer you will be able to find out whether the optimization processes you usually apply to your PC are working properly or not. And if you never have performed a maintenance process, then it will also let you know if your system is asking for an urgent clean up.
BootRacer is extremely easy to use. You have to start the program, perform some minimal configurations, and that's all, you will be ready to boot your Windows. The program uses very few memory resources (4,8 MB), so you won't notice it is monitoring the boot process.
Results are stored on a log file, so you will be able to compare them each time you perform clean up processes on your system. |
